Peel rivets are ideal for the joining of softer material such as timber, plastic, rubber, fiberglass, laminates, etc. The head of the mandrel cuts the rivet body into four petals that bend outwards and come into contact with the material to be fastened, creating a locking head with a large diameter. Useful in numerous applications where access is an issue, a peel rivet is an easy and fast fastener to install. It joins material by pulling the mandrel head into the body and whilst expanding the body locks the material together between the mandrel head and the body head. Rivets are a low cost, tamper proof and uniformly set fastener that won't torque out like a threaded fastener.
